According to statistics from Xiamen Customs, in the first nine months, Fujian Province exported 930 million yuan worth of tea, with a year-on-year growth of 0.8%, ranking third in the country.

From the perspective of export markets, the "circle of friends" for Fujian Province's tea products has continued to expand. The export volume to other APEC economies reached 690 million yuan, accounting for 74.2%; among them, the exports to Malaysia and Japan increased by 7.7% and 8.1% respectively. What is worth noting is that the export to Africa was 200 million yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 34.5%.
From the perspective of the operating entities, private enterprises are the "main force" in the tea export business of Fujian Province. From January to September, private enterprises in Fujian Province exported 570 million yuan worth of tea, with a year-on-year growth of 9.1%, accounting for over 60% of the total.
In the modern production workshop of Hengli Tea Company in Tong'an District, Xiamen City, the automated production line is operating efficiently. After a series of meticulous processes such as scorching, rolling, sorting, and drying, a batch of high-quality tea leaves are carefully packaged and packed into boxes. Under the rapid supervision and inspection of the Xiamen Customs, they will soon cross the ocean and bring a touch of the rich aroma of Eastern tea to consumers all over the world.

"To meet the global market's demand for high-quality tea, we are constantly innovating in processing techniques and product flavors. From January to September this year, our company's tea exports reached a value of 4.917 million yuan. This success would not have been possible without the strong support of the customs." said Gao Haichang, the company's director.
To facilitate the export of Fujian tea, the Xiamen Customs has taken the lead in compiling the "2025 Annual Export Tea Management Manual", covering aspects such as green prevention and control of tea tree pests and diseases, and the standardized management of agricultural chemical inputs. This provides comprehensive technical guidance for tea enterprises. At the same time, dedicated personnel and positions have been set up to "one-on-one" assist enterprises in deeply understanding and responding to technical trade barriers from abroad, ensuring that exported tea meets the standards of the destination countries. Relying on the construction of "Smart Customs", measures such as "advance declaration" and "appointment for inspection" have been promoted. A "green channel" for tea exports has been established, enabling immediate declaration, inspection, and release, effectively reducing the customs clearance time.
